1993 - Select is founded in Bridlington East Yorkshire by Mark.

 

 

1993-1995 - A business connection is made with Hull-based ingredients blending company. Mark works alongside butchers, bakers and food processors to create a range of sausage & burger mixes, seasonings, pie gravy mixes, bacon cures, and much more.

 

 

1996 - The product range grows and branches into other food trade ingredients including lards, fats, sausage casings and flavour glazes.

 

 

1997 - Mark pursues the idea of creating a ‘one-stop’ food sundries company and sources a reliable group of packaging and cleaning product manufacturers. This then allows him to offer a complete range of sundries at competitive prices.

 

 

1998 - The expansion into packaging and cleaning sundries allows Mark to grow his customer base and supply a greater range of businesses including retail shops, pubs and restaurants, care homes, factories and essentially any business that requires packaging and/or cleaning sundries.

 

 

1999 - Select’s product range grows and branches in to even more products including food trade clothing, knives and cutlery and bespoke printed packaging.

 

 

2002 - Select Foods Limited is registered and continues to supply food trade, packaging and cleaning sundries to a loyal group of customers within a 50-mile radius of its hometown Bridlington.

 

 

2010 - Jordan joins Select and works alongside Mark to grow both the product range and customer base.

 

 

2012 - Select expands and moves into bigger premises in Bridlington.

Onwards - Mark and Jordan continue to supply their products locally, constantly focusing on maintaining a personal face to face service, to their customers.

2017 - Select moves into brand new premises on Bridlington’s Bessingby Industrial Estate. These premises allow much more stock to be held, offering even better customer service and stock reliability.

​

2018  - New branding logos and a website are created to showcase the traditional, family run business that Select Sundries Company is.

​

2019 - Lee joins the Select Sundries team, fulfilling the all important direct sales role.

​

2021 - Daniel came in to take control of the warehouse and despatch activity.

​

2021 -With our new range of coffee shop and takeaway products being added to the companies portfolio Select goes from strength to strength.

​

2023- We celebrate 30 years in business. 

​
